How it works
A shared calendar,
with money attached.
That is genuinely the whole product. An owner publishes what is free and what it costs. An advertiser picks dates and pays. Everything else exists to make those two steps safe for both sides.
Timeline
What happens, in order.
- 01Owner
The space is listed
Location pinned on the map, dimensions, photos, and a weekly rate. The owner chooses a minimum booking length, blackout dates, and whether requests need approval or can book instantly.
- 02Signperch
It passes review
Every new listing is reviewed before it goes live. Edits to a live listing send it back through review automatically.
- 03Advertiser
An advertiser books dates
The price shown is the price charged — rental, printing if offered, our service fee, and tax. The dates are held the moment the booking is created, so nobody else can take them while payment completes.
- 04Stripe
The card is authorised
On approval-required listings the card is authorised but not charged. The owner has 72 hours to accept. Decline or silence releases the hold automatically.
- 05Both
Artwork is uploaded and approved
The advertiser sends the creative through the platform. The owner approves or rejects it with a reason. Nothing goes up on someone’s property without them seeing it first.
- 06Owner
The campaign goes live
On the start date the booking flips to live. The owner uploads dated proof-of-posting photographs.
- 07Stripe
The owner is paid
Payout lands about two business days after the campaign starts, straight to the owner’s bank. Signperch never holds the balance.
- 08Both
Both sides review
Reviews stay hidden until both are submitted, or fourteen days pass. Neither party can write a retaliatory response to something they have already read.
Cancellations
Three policies. The owner picks one.
Whichever applies is shown on the listing before you book, never after.
Flexible
Full refund up to 7 days before the campaign starts.

Refunds apply to the rental subtotal. The service fee is non-refundable once a booking is confirmed, because it covers processing already delivered. If the owner cancels, the advertiser is refunded in full including every fee.
Edge cases
What if it goes wrong?
A marketplace for physical space lives or dies on these, not on the happy path.
- Two people book the same week at once
- Impossible. The database physically refuses two overlapping bookings on one space. One checkout succeeds, the other is told immediately to pick new dates — and is never charged.
- The advertiser's ad never went up
- Open a dispute within 14 days of the campaign end date. No proof-of-posting from the owner means a full refund for the affected period.
- The owner does not respond
- The request expires after 72 hours and the authorisation on the card is released. You are not left waiting indefinitely.
- The artwork breaks the rules
- The owner can reject any creative, with a reason. Signperch removes anything breaching the Acceptable Use Policy platform-wide.
- The owner loses the right to the wall
- They must cancel. The advertiser gets everything back, and repeated cancellation costs the owner their listings.
- Someone wants to deal off-platform
- That voids every protection here — escrow, dispute resolution, refunds. It is also a breach of the Terms.
